CRT Advisory Board

Chairman of the Advisory Board

Mr. Gunnerman has spent the majority of his professional career in senior management positions of publicly traded and privately held clean energy technology companies. Mr. Gunnerman co-founded Advanced Refining Concepts, LLC (“ARC”) in 2008 and ARC’s parent company ClearRefining Technologies, LLC (“CRT”) in 2017. He currently serves as Managing Partner of ARC, Managing Member of CRT and Chairman of the CRT Advisory Board. He is a named inventor on multiple national and international patents in the field of refining and fuels and has authored and presented numerous industry related papers. Mr. Gunnerman served on the County Manager’s Advisory Council in Washoe County, NV. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Advanced Fuels, LLC, a joint venture company with Caterpillar Inc. based in Peoria, Illinois; Fujairah Oil Technology Limited, based in the United Arab Emirates; and the Reno/Tahoe chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Mr. Gunnerman attended Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany and graduated from the University of Oregon with BA degrees and honors in History and German in 1988.

Mr. Beckmen brings legal and financial expertise focused specifically on Capital Markets and Energy Regulations. In addition to his work with ClearRefining, Mr. Beckmen is a Partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP, based in their Dallas office. Scott’s legal practice is focused on acquisitions and divestitures; complex corporate and commercial transactions; securities offerings; entity, joint venture and partnership structuring and formation; general business counseling; private equity investments; and project implementation. Scott began his legal career in the energy space and offers significant experience in oil and gas asset and entity acquisitions and transactions involving exploration, production, development and transportation. He has negotiated master agreements, including the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Master Agreement, the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) Base Contract for Sale and Purchase of Natural Gas, and the Leadership for Energy Automation Practices (LEAP) Master Agreement for Purchasing and Selling Refined Petroleum Products and Crude Oil. He also has advised clients with respect to the regulations of the Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Mr. Beckmen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a degree in Government and received his J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2006. During Law School, Scott interned at the British Telecom Corporate headquarters in London assisting mainly on International Transactions and Litigation. Mr. Beckmen enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife Loren, and their five children – Leyton, Brooks, Ainsley, Hollis and Bellamy.

Mr. Rocholl has over twenty years of experience in marketing and project management in the European and Australasian shipping and tourism industries. He has managed large-budget cruise ship retrofit projects in Europe and Asia using local labor and adhering to strict international maritime environmental and safety regulations. Mr. Rocholl is the managing partner of EUPROM LLC, a consulting company with its main focus on international clean energy-related project management and oversight.

Mr. Hans-Peter Floren is one of Europe’s leading energy managers. Mr. Floren began his career at Ruhrgas AG based in Essen, Germany at which he held senior management positions including Sr. VP Transmission and Storage Management, Dispatching and System Planning, CEO of E.ON Gas Storage GmbH and Member of the Executive Board of E.ON Ruhrgas AG. Mr. Floren has also served as a member on the Executive Board of OMV Aktiengesellschaft based in Vienna, Austria with responsibility for Gas & Power, as well as on further OMV subsidiary Supervisory Boards in Turkey, Romania, Austria and Germany. Mr. Floren has further served on the Supervisory Board of EUROGAS based in Brussels, Belgium, the Supervisory Board of Verbundnetz Gas AG based in Leipzig, Germany, the Supervisory Council of Latvijas Gaze based in Riga, Latvia, and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of FLORENGY AG, based in Essen, Germany among other duties. Mr. Floren is a Diplom-Ingenieur, and Diplom-Kaufmann having studied mechanical engineering and economics at the University of Essen, Germany.

Larry is a partner and manager with Lincoln-based in Greenville, SC. He brings a wealth of product marketing, transportation, and terminal storage operations throughout the Southeast to his leadership role at Lincoln.

With over twenty years of experience in the oil industry, Larry began his career with Boardman Petroleum, Inc. after earning an A. B. economics degree at the University of Georgia in 1995. Larry served in managing roles with supply and distribution as well as sales and marketing for a 75-unit Southeast convenience store chain and terminal company with nine facilities. These successful companies were sold in 1998 and 2004 respectively to Tosco and Kinder Morgan, at which time, Larry then transitioned to Kinder Morgan in 2004. Larry served as Director, Business Development for Kinder Morgan’s 35-unit Southeast terminal and pipeline network spanning the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and Florida for nine years. In 2013, Larry transitioned to Lincoln applying his experience and background in transportation, storage, marketing, and asset development.

Globally Focused – Locally Committed

ARC has donated clean GDiesel to non-profit agencies across Nevada such as the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
